About Sprout Equity Farms
We provide a sustainable, localized, and scalable hydroponic urban farming systems that will empower BIPOC farmers and allow for underserved communities to have access to affordable healthy foods using much fewer resources and less carbon footprint than traditional farming. Each container will be a work of art designed by local artists.
Pay it Forward
Our Hydroponic Vertical Farms are built inside shipping containers. Each container is equivalent to a farm the size of two football fields. They average $100k in profits working part time.
Each farm we purchase thru grants or investors will donate their first profits to open another hydroponic farm owned by another BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) farmer. That farmer's first profits will seed another farm. And so on...
Give Back
5% of produce will be donated to underserved communities. 2% of profits will go towards local artists designing each container. For every ten farms in our network, we will have one farm dedicated to local food desert neighborhoods.
Insure Success
To insure success, Sprout Equity Farms will focus on sales, support, and distribution. The seeded farms are privately owned and can get their own investors or grants to expand as well. They do not have to go through Sprout Equity Farms for distribution, but we're here for support.
Environment & Sustainability
We feel this is the best solution to the food security challenges we are facing today. Pesticides, water shortages, fertilizers, food disparity, war, poor farming practices, inflation, supply chain disruptions...the list goes on. This is not sustainable. We need to decentralize and localize our food supply. We can expand quickly, profit, and serve our communities of color.
